Earth Day Festival
Earth day festival 2022

Earth day is the perfect day to pause and re-evaluate our connection to our larger home; our planet. Every year this day reminds us to take the opportunity to deepen our connection with Mother Earth so we can serve her better.

This year we have a plethora of ways in which we can explore ways of enhancing our Earth connection. We have in-person walks in 6 cities in India, a 2 day online workshop, recordings of past online sessions and a surprise e-book to awaken our imaginative connection with Earth.

We invite you to explore the Adult only walks alone, without family and friends, and give yourself the me-time with Mother Earth. We have learnt these walks to be calming so preferable to keep no other appointments post the walks so you can continue to carry the beautiful connection with you throughout the day.

Today we release the registration for Phase 1 of the festival – Offline and online sessions. 21st April is the last date to register, we have limited seats for all the walks. Follow us on social media to know when we will release registrations for the next phases.

(All details about exact location, Covid protocols etc will be emailed to all registered participants 1 day before the walk. A temporary Whatsapp group will also be created for ease of communication. To register, click in the desired payment link below.)

Past Events

The word solstice comes from Latin Sol (sun) & sistere (to not move)..winter solstice meaning ‘Sun stands still’ in winter. This day is a reminder to celebrate the change in seasons and a time of quiet reflective energy. Winter Solstice is usually tied to silent inner personal awakenings. It is the beginning of returning to the light, your light.

Earth Sutra – an experiential celebration of reconnecting with Earth.

Having a special day and week dedicated to our planet is a welcome invitation for all of us to pause and reflect on our relationship with our larger home: Earth.
What aligned actions can we do, that is based on deep reflection and connection to Earth’s wisdom? Is sustainable living or planting trees the only actions Mother Earth would like from us? What would Mother Earth like us to do for her?

Join us for a 2 day mediative and experiential session to connect with Earth through Nature mandalas, Body movement and Writing to tap into the wisdom we can all benefit from. These tools help us to tap into the essence of our connection leading to aligned intention and actions.

On Day 1, 24th April, Saturday, for 2 hours we will be exploring ourselves and our connection with Mother Earth by creating Nature Mandalas. It will be facilitated by Vaishnavi who is an entrepreneur of 2 organizations, is an Expressive Art therapy practitioner, a certified Forest therapy facilitator, Life coach and Leadership skills facilitator for over 20 years. She enjoys tapping into earth’s wisdom through trees and that’s how Nature Connections was born and continues to grow.

We would be covering

  • Earth based mediations,
  • Sensorial connection to mandala elements,
  • Understanding Mandala,
  • Mandala creation,
  • Exploring our connection with elements of Fire, Earth, Water and Air through the mandala creation
  • Aligned Intention setting

It will be facilitated by Sunanda who identifies as an embodied and expressive arts facilitator and a communications specialist with over 10 years of experience. She has also co-founded Pivot Pipers Coaching and Consulting, which works with group dynamics, organizational awareness and process work. She centres most of her work around the body, while often borrowing her learnings from Nature to inform deep processes.

We would be covering:

  • Working with breath to experience our body’s wisdom
  • Creative visualizations to inspire imagination, intention and action
  • Visual prompts to move deeper into our memories and inner wisdom
  • Sensorial prompts to move and write from a place of openness

Plant Music & Intention Setting

Part of the proceeds go for Afforestation project in India. Last year we nourished 160 trees and this year we hope to add 200 more to it, together creating a mini forest for the love we have received from nature.

Listening to music from plants has a soothing effect. It calms us down and allows us to access a deeper connection with ourselves and the plant. Thanks to technology, we can now access this music that plants and trees create with the internal activity of electrical impulses. To set intentions for 2021 from a space of calm can be powerful. In the session we will go through an evolution based visualization, which along with the plant music, makes our intentions come from our soul.

The session will be facilitated by Vaishnavi Viswanathan. She is known for her calming voice and is a firm believer in communicating with nature elements, especially plants & trees. Professionally she is an Expressive Art therapy practitioner, Forest therapy facilitator, Life coach and Leadership skills facilitator for 20 years.

Interactive Nature Story session

In Nature based stories, things from nature play an important role and become the central character; the Hero! When the storyteller performs traditional or cultural stories, we develop a deeper understanding and connection with that nature element. We start looking at that nature element with different lens. We remember and appreciate it more! Every Story session we choose one nature element and this time we will focus on re-connecting with Coconuts.

The session will be co-facilitated by Anish Abraham and Vaishnavi. Anish is a story teller, actor, nature lover, artist, poet and a Bhoomi College Fellow in Holistic Education (Bangalore). And Vaishnavi is an Expressive Art therapy practitioner, Forest therapy facilitator, Life coach and Leadership skills facilitator. Together Anish and Vaishnavi have fun curating interactive sessions that bring out the child in us who falls in love with nature all over again.
